Programs / Priorities

Clearly much of what need to be done in DC is remedial. Buildings need to be brought up to standard and all infrastructure needs to be put in a position to welcome new technology uses and applications when teachers and students are ready for them. Working in tandem with OCTO and DCPS and at their behest we will undertake special projects as identified and as we can contribute something to the process. Our hope is that model programs that have a higher risk than acceptable to OCTO standards but in a manageable scope can be borne by TTEC//DC before being scaled to schools.

Here are some of our program/project priorities for assisting:
- Infrastructure engineering, design, testing, installation
- Technology plans
- Professional development for teachers and administrators
- Linking instruction to technology
- Measuring the effectiveness of certain technology solutions

Framework of standards by which each project will be evaluated. Those standards include:
- Are the projects scalable, sustainable and replicable?
- How is the project aligned to DCPS Instructional Goals?
- Is the success of the project ultimately measured by how it impacts student achievement?
- Does the project connect key constituencies with the district (students, teachers, parents, administrators, community members and businesses)?
